Hi, I am a 21 year old male and am looking for a professional opinion on whether or not my mole could be dangerous. I have had it ever since I can remember, and if it has grown at all it has been growing at a rate consistent to the rest of my body. It has never been itchy or bleeding or swollen, but I worry sometimes that its location and size could cause adverse problems. It is located to the right of the base of my penis, attached to the base of the scrotum. Thank you.

I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Moles can be removed with laser, radiowave or shave. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Unless you are a board certified surgeon it would be unwise to attempt to do this by yourself. Please book in with your local doctor for an examination with a view to removal.
Moles with abnormal cells are called atypical nevi. They are felt to be pre-cancerous. In our office, we will do an excision with suture closure to get clear margins for all moles that have moderate to severe atypical cells
