Raised mole on my neck with what appears to be a white spot in it. Is it normal or should I get it checked out? (photo)

Unless you are a board certified surgeon it would be unwise to attempt to do this by yourself. Please book in with your local doctor for an examination with a view to removal. 

Moles with abnormal cells are called atypical nevi. They are felt to be pre-cancerous. In our office, we will do an excision with suture closure to get clear margins for all moles that have moderate to severe atypical cells
