Is this cartilage growing in my nose? (Photo)

Question

I get these things in my nose once in a blue moon. I can usually scrape very hard with my nail or use tweezers to twist & pull them out. However, this one refuses to budge no matter how hard I try. Its whiteish, very hard, pointy (almost sharp). It protrudes a lot compared to surrounding skin.

Hello,Thank you for question and photos, based on them your issue is addressed to physical examination, it is difficult to see on photos and you should not try to remove these things out as you might damage inside tissues. An examination is required to analysis the problem.Best Regards,

It is very hard to see from your photos, but I have seen people develop small pustules in that area from infection around the hair follicles. I would recommend not trying to remove these things yourself, but see and ENT or facial plastic surgeon, who has experience with intranasal lesions. Cartilage generally doesn't protrude out of the mucosal lining by itself, but I suppose it could,  if your continue to traumatize it.

Make an appointment to see your local physician to determine what exactly the bumps are. Avoid scraping or pushing the bumps so your doctor is able to examine what the bumps look like at their natural state.
