Do I have a deviated septum at five weeks post op?

Hi, so I am a caucasian woman and have had rhinoplasty 5 weeks ago. However I can only breathe very well out of one nostril and my septum is leaning the other way. The other nostril is smaller than the other and I was wondering if this was uneven swelling or something more. Please let me know as I am in distress and cannot go back to my job at the moment. Thank you.

It is difficult to determine if you have a deviated septum from photos.  A physical examination would be needed to know for sure.  In addition, it is possible that the difficulty breathing is due to swelling.  You are still very early in the healing process and you may very well notice your breathing improve as you have more time to heal. If your breathing does not get better with time, I recommend you discuss your concerns with your surgeon.  Best of luck.
