I got Juvederm voluma injected 9 days ago in my cheeks (Inlove with the results) but I’ve noticed a red rash and small bumps (no pus or anything). I’ve had voluma before and had nil issues. There’s no swelling, no fever just small red bumps that are so itchy! I’m not sure if this is an infection and I pray it’s not! The bumps are across my cheek not As bad hear the injection site. They arnt painfu/ at all just itchy! I do sometimes get dermatitis but I’ve never had it on my cheeks before! Help!

Voluma for cheeks is a great treatment that tends to last the longest out of other hyalauronic acid fillers. For your rash, I suggest seeing your injector or a dermatologist for proper evaluation. Because your itchy red rash is superficial, it’s possible you are experiencing contact dermatitis (or an allergic reaction) to something that was applied topically, such as numbing cream, a skin care product, or perhaps an antiseptic wipe that was used prior to your treatment. With any symptoms you experience after injection, I highly advise contacting your injector. If you ever feel pain, discoloration, or blanching after your injection is complete, it’s important that you contact your injector immediately or go to the ER.
