Is it possible to have a full body and face chemical peel?

Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery.

Peels can be done on any area of the body, keeping in mind certain areas are more sensitive than others. Definitely peels will help skin texture and help minimize the appearance of the scarring. Peels come in different strengths/percentages and that is up to your Dermatologist to decide on what strength to start on.

A chemical peel is performed in order to treat sun damage, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, scars, and pigment abnormalities.  A chemical peel can be performed over the entire body with the exception of the genital region.  I routinely have patients come into our office for chemical peels on their face, chest, and back.  I recommend seeing a board certified dermatologist to make sure a chemical peel is the correct treatment plan.  Please note: depending on the severity of the scars and hyper pigmentation, a series of chemical peels would be recommended.  i recommend beginning a series of chemical peels in the winter/colder months as there is downtime associated with the treatment.
