The Halo Laser treatment is a perfect marriage of superficial resurfacing and deep tightening. The downtime is minimal - you may be a bit puffy with sandpapery pink skin, but you can wear makeup immediately after the treatment. We like to use an aftercare kit with a gentle cleanser and soothing moisturizer, as well as creams that enhance wound healing and collagen production. Sun protection is necessary and you should never pick at your healing skin. Your dermatologist will recommend the proper aftercare for your skin type after Halo.
At our practice, we immediately apply PRP, and our Emer Skin Intense Hydration Mask to soothe and hydrate the face post-Halo laser. Following this, we send patients home with a dedicated skin car regimen that helps them heal safely and expediently. These products include cleansers, hydration, brighteners, etc.
After care protocols can vary with providers. In my practice we usually do a Cetaphil cleanser without any exfoliation, Cerave moisturizer, and a physical post procedure Elta MD Sunscreen for the first 2-3 weeks after treatment. The cleanser and moisturizer are over the counter products. The sunscreen can only be purchased at a providers office. Once the skin is completely healed then more advanced products can be incorporated and managed by a licensed esthetician. Hope this helps.
A great easy and safe product to use before and after the Halo Laser (in conjunction with a gentle cleanser) is by ALASTIN: Regenerating Skin Nectar. This product has TriHex Technology that helps clear damage and debris in the extracellular matrix of the skin. It also helps produce new, healthy collagen and elastin. This product is also designed to help in the healing processed by calming the skin and reducing the appearance of redness with its selective antioxidants. This product is a physician sold only product so you can not by this over the counter in a retail store. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your question, Microblading is safe after Halo Treatment since it has been 7 days and the Microblading is a less invasive treatment. Halo typically takes about 3 days for the skin to peel and therefore after 7 days you are in the safe zone to have the Microblading treatment done. I...
I would recommend 3 months minimum before performing an energy based treatment like BBL or HALO over recently operated skin such as the nasal tip. I would consider doing the rest of the face sooner than that, and maybe go over the nose very lightly. This is just my opinion based on my per...
This combination is great for face, neck and chest. We do this combination routinely. The down time for HALO can be a few variations. Most clients do not swell but this is definitely something that might happen. Clients are red upon leaving the office and over the next few days the pigmentation...
Follow up with your doctor about their aftercare protocol. You may be able to take Advil. Talk to your doctor. Best, Dr. Emer
