I had juvederm injections and a tiny ball has moved up to my cheekbone. It wouldn't dissolve. What can I do?

My jervderm injections were not taking, and one tiny ball went up to my left cheek bone, I ask him if this would move into my eye. I was worried. He injected me with something to dissolve it, but it did not go away. Now I have many on both cheek bones and chin. So jevederm in my smile lines. Looks so bad. Feel like I age d 20 more yrs. Please help

If they did not resolve with hyaluronidase I suggest 5fu/steroid injections and thermage/ultherapy/venus legacy treatments to soften and tighten the skin.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Thank you for your question. You did not state when you had your treatment performed since an infectious process must also be considered? One must always rule this out before resorting to the diagnosis of a nodule. Continue to follow-up with your injector until you see resolve. Sorry to hear this is happening to you.  I do not believe this was Juvederm. Juvederm does not typically do this unless poor technique was used. I also wonder who injected you.  If you had this done by a skilled injector, this wound not be typical.  I would return and have that doctor take a look and see what is going on. Small nodules after filler injections are possible.  Hyaluronic acid fillers like juvederm, restylane, and belotero can be dissolved by a product called hyauronidase.  It is important to find out if you were definately injected with juvederm.  If so, a trial of more hyaluronidase would be warranted.   If it has been a long time since you had the filler injections, it is possible that you have a foreign body reaction and may need to be treated differently; in which case, you should seek out a local expert in fillers.

First question back to you is are you sure you had Juvederm? Best to seek in person second opinions from true injecting expert docs. Using Hyaluronidase dissolver takes vast experience of the doctor. Either way over time Juvederm metabolizes in a year..

This is very usual to not have Juvederm dissolve with Hylase (Hyaluronidase or the dissolving agent). Normally fillers will dissolve within a day or two with this. I think the first thing to do is to have your doctor investigate and come up with a diagnosis, and possibly re treat the area with hyaluronidase.
