I have my saline implants for 10 and think I may have a leak. What are the signs?

It sounds as if the two issue are unrelated. Typically with a saline rupture, you know because the implant deflates. It doesn't result in drainage through the skin. You should definitely see your plastic surgeon.  You might have a fluid collection that needs to be drained.

Saline implant rupture does not typically cause any drainage through the skin.  You probably are experiencing two separate issues.  Saline is absorbed by your body without any outward signs other than a smaller breast.  It does not cause infection and is not toxic.  Please follow up with a BCPS in your area.

In my experience, a leaking saline breast implant would leave your breast noticeably smaller in a short amount of time. It is not subtle. The situation with a wound is not common and is more worrisome for an infections process. This would be more worrisome.If you have any doubts, seek the advice of a plastic surgeon.

If your implant leaked, it would feel smaller. The drainage you described is not normal and you should see a plastic surgeon to evaluate your implants as soon as possible.

At 10 years from your original surgery, implant deflation is a real possibility.  Generally the only sign is a change in the volume of the breast without any external signs or drainage.  Based on your description, this is not a typical presentation and would warrant a visit sooner rather than later to your plastic surgeon.  Best of luck.

condition you describe doesn't sound like a leaking saline implant. Typically,
when a saline implant ruptures, all of the fluid leaks out quickly and it is
quite noticeable. I suggest contacting your plastic surgeon's office and
scheduling an appointment to evaluate the condition. That's the best path to
follow any time you have concerns about your breast augmentation. Good luck.

Once a saline implant develops a leak then the
saline will leak out quickly leaving you with only your natural breast which
will be soft and deflated. The saline is excreted in the urine with no other
consequence except significant breast asymmetry. It is an all or none
phenomenon with saline implants as the leak will lead to almost full deflation
in a short time period. To ensure, this is the occurrence, be sure to visit your plastic surgeon. If it is in fact a saline leak, you will need to have the implant replaced to regain proper symmetry. 

Hello dear, thanks for your question and provided information as well.. The reason is that you may have a pocket around your implant that is leaking inside and drained out of it... You will have your breasts flat for many weeks...I recommend you to change them for soft cohesive silicone gel one's
