Is a columella tuck permanent, or is there always the possibility of it hanging again?

I'm getting my columella tucked up in a few weeks, and when I went in for my consultation my plastic surgeon told me there is a chance it won't stay that way, but whatever happens it won't get worse. I was just wondering if this was true, because I've been reading up about the procedure online, and so far nobody has mentioned anything about it.

It should not be a problem if you are doing well and have used it before.  I would be careful with your nose to avoid trauma.

Patients who have allergic rhinitis are still candidates for rhinoplasty. During the initial post-op period, your nose is stuffy anyway so you won't even notice the allergic issues. I would suggest picking a time when your allergies are not as active. The discomfort is not that bad following...

Great question.  You are still early in your recovery, and the swelling is quite normal.  The appearance of your nostrils will even out once the swelling goes down, which can take several months.  You had a lot of work done, so the congestion is going to get better with time....
