My current surgeon suggested I only go to 240 moderate silicone implants with a width of 11 because he doesn't want my nipples to be too outward and my natural pocket is 12cm. I also have a deformed chest wall where my breasts will naturally slope outwards. I'm having second thoughts about spending the 9000$+ on breasts that I still won't be happy with. I need a second opinion about my breast shape. Or at least what 240cc dual plane could give me as results from all your experiences. Thanks :)
Answer: I have constricted breasts, will 240 ccs get me to a size C? And will my nipples be facing outwards after surgery? Your left breast is normal. The right is only slightly constricted. A dual plane augmentation will allow vertical mastotomies to releaese constriction of right breast to fix constriction and allow implants to be placed under muscle. At 12 cm base width you can have mentor 300cc moderate profile plus implants which should give you a nice full B small C breast.

Answer: I have constricted breasts, will 240 ccs get me to a size C? Thank you for the question. There is no accurate/reliable/predictable correlation between size/profile breast implant utilized and cup size achieved. Ultimately, careful communication of your goals (in my practice I prefer the use of goal pictures, direct examination/communication in front of a full-length mirror, in bra sizers, and computer imaging) as well as careful measurements (dimensional planning) will be critical.Given that your surgery is coming up soon, I would suggest that you spend additional time communicating your goals/concerns directly with your plastic surgeon, preferably prior to the date of surgeryGenerally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery ( regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is:1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work.2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. For example, I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "C cup" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on him who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. Again, the use of computer imaging has been very helpful during the communication process, in our practice.3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery, after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers.I hope this (and the attached link, dedicated to breast augmentation surgery concerns) helps. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be very pleased with.

Answer: Implant sizing Thank you for your post. This is a tough question, but I am not sure that only 240cc will get you the fuller look you show in the "after" photo. You could consider a higher profile implant to give you more projection and volume. Nipple position is a consideration, but I think you'd be happier with more volume. It's worth trying on a few different sizes of implants, and your surgeon can help with that planning. Best wishes.

Answer: Breast Augmentation Thanks for including such good photos. With your anatomy, you should be able to get a great result with your surgery. But your surgeon should take a number of different implant sizes into the OR along with your wish picture. During surgery he should use sizers in your breast pocket to see what different volumes look like and then open the box of implants at the proper volume to give you that look. I doubt 240cc will be enough, and with a 12 cm BWD to work with there are a number of different implants that will look good, With appropriate muscle release and pocket placement and shape you should not have any trouble with the way the nipples point.
