I would say that you have some mild recession of your chin and this could be improved with placement of a chin implant or by using injectable fillers.
I suggest beginning with an in-person consultation to discuss your options. During your initial examination, your #chin will be evaluated along with the neck and jawline. A weak #chin implies a lack of chin support for the skin along the neck line. In younger individuals a chin implant alone is usually all that is needed to improve the appearance of the neck. Subsequently, it will also improve the overall #balance of the face and can create the illusion of a smaller nose. As a stand-alone procedure, chin augmentation can be performed in the office under local #anesthesia. For individuals with signs of #aging in the neck, a chin implant added to one of the recommended procedures above, will provide optimal results. Also, #liposuction under the chin is also another option your doctor can discuss. If you are not a candidate for chin or neck rejuvenation at the time of your #consultation, your board certified plastic surgeon can recommend alternatives to address your concern. However, there may be additional options to improve the appearance of your concern to improve the overall balance of your face. Such can be best evaluated in-person. Consulting with a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in #face, #neck and #chin procedures is important to ensure you are receiving the best advice, care, and surgical experience possible.
When evaluating the chin, one must evaluate it from both the full frontal view (in terms of width and length) and sideview (projection). In your case, your projection is slightly weak and modestly short in relationship to the rest of your facial proportions. A small chin implant placed closer to the lower edge of your bony chin will not only give you projection but also impart a sense of length which will better balance your forehead and nose. I would complement this with liposuction of your submental region all the way back to your ears to highlight your jaw line and give you a more elegant shadow.
Your chin is not strong and could be permanently improved with the placement of a chin implant. This would improve definition of your jawline and proportions in your lower face.
Hi, yes your chin is quite weak based upon the attached photo. When the chin is weak, this creates an imbalance in the lower face that makes the nose appear larger, the lips smaller (thinner) and allows early formation of a "double chin". The chin can be augmented using a chin implant or a dermal filler. I have performed many chin implant surgeries over the past 30 years, using a small curved incision under the chin in 30 minutes or less often using a local anesthetic alone.Hope this helps.
Hi, jaw augmentation can be performed using precise placement of a dermal filler. This is performed differently in a man versus woman face. The benefit of shaping the jaw line with a dermal filler is this can be performed as an office treatment with little to no downtime. I...

Yes unfortunately some people are just born with small mandibles. If you want to change the way your jaw looks and feels, best to go with jaw implants.
