I am almost 7 wks post vaser on my inner thighs. At 2 wks large Seromas developed on both legs. They were drained once but before my surgeon could drain again they turned rock hard and are still large and unsightly. Will massage and time help or is there a possibility I may be left like this? If so, would revision surgery be a possibility?
Answer: Seroma and lumps after Vaser Yes, you may feel "lumpy" and irregular along the suctioned area as you heal, but massaging those areas will hasten their softening and they will eventually decrease with time. With regards to seroma, it is usually spontaneously absorbed by the body but it is still best to have it drained to prevent any complications that would interfere with your results.#Recovery varies greatly between patients, especially that inner thighs are the slowest to heal. 7 weeks is too soon for swelling, and lumps to go away. At 2 weeks, most of the swelling and bruising will usually resolve but may persist up to 6-8 weeks. You can usually begin to see #results 2-4 months later as the swelling continues to diminish and contours become more defined, but improvement will continue for 4–6 months as swelling and irregularities resolve. These contours can even improve throughout the year after surgery, therefore, it is recommended to wait at least 6 months if you want to go for a #revision. It is best to continue the prescribed aftercare and contact your surgeon for any additional therapy that you may need. Best of luck! #RealSelf100

Answer: Is there a way to treat calcified seromas or is it possible I will be left with these hard lumps? I recommend getting lymphatic massage therapy in the area, as well as possible radiofrequency therapy. Time will tell. Good luck and may God bless you.Dr. DLC

Answer: VASER Liposuction/ Revision Liposuction Surgery / Hi Definition Procedures I suggest posting photos, getting an ultrasound of the area as well. Massage, radiofrequency and hyperbaric oxygen could help. Best, Dr. Emer.
