I'm a 15 years old Asian female. This is really bugging me and I already asked my mom to look at it and she says theres nothing, she would'nt take me to the hospital either. I've noticed this for about 4 months now but it wasnt that big of a deal until now. I was really hoping that this wouldn't be ptosis because im scared of surgery and when I read abt non-surgical options, there weren't really any of them. Thanks

Answer: There is no indication for eyelid surgery.
Malar bags are extremely difficult to treat. Even with a lateral lower eyelid incision elevation of the cheek within Orbiculopexy and skin excision malar bags tend to recur. Yours are minimal.I see would suggest filler injections to avoid the surgery and see if the result pleases you.
The quick answer to your question is yes the swelling will go down and the eyelid shape should be much more symmetrical with the opposite side. 4 weeks is still early and I would expect another month before you can truly assess your results.
The upward slant of the lower eyelids and upper eyelids is determined by the position of the canthal tendons. A lower eyelid canthoplasty can elevate the corner of your I. Ptosis surgery will have no effect.
