With appropriate placement, ear or conceal cartilage whether diced or placed as free grafts is typically durable and does not warp with time. The incidence of warping is actually higher with rib cartilage although rib cartilage is often stronger and used more support of structures especially in revision cases or where noses need a lot of cartilage to rebuild or support your nose. Diced cartilage in and of itself does not warp, but the "buritto-like" roll of cartilage in fascia can bend a bit.

Thanks for your question. The techniques you're describing are well established and time-tested. For structural support, I tend to use septal cartilage or rib cartilage. Ear cartilage works very well for alar reconstruction. They shouldn't warp or shift if properly secured. For a tip graft, rib cartilage might be better, but it depends on how strong a graft you need. If you just need a little bulk, the ear cartilage should be fine. If you're relying on it to support and project your nasal tip, something stronger might work better.
