How much Bellafill is needed to improve nasolabial folds? (photo)

Bellafill is unique, since it stimulates your body to grow collagen around it while lasting up to 5 years. So it's important to not over-fill with the first treatment, and then wait at least a month to see how much your skin fills in, before injecting more. I would recommend injecting filler to your midface first (over your cheekbones and in front of your ears)  - by lifting this area, the skin by the nasolabial folds will also be lifted. If you only fill your nasolabial folds, your face will look "heavier" around the mouth and your facial proportions would be off-balance. Consider starting with at least 2-3 syringes for your face. I would say for most people, 1-2 syringes (0.8cc/syringe) of Bellafill would be needed per treatment of the nasolabial folds.  Since Bellafill is a stimulating agent, it normally requires a series of treatments to obtain the desired result.  Each physician will have their own preference of how much to use and how far apart to space the treatment sessions.  In your particular case, I would say you fall into the norm of needing between 1-2 syringes per treatment.  In some of the later sessions, you may need less.  

I love Bellafill and particularly what it can do to smooth melolabial folds.  Before I totally focus on the folds, we like to assess the need for cheek volume as that loss and descent of the cheeks causes the folds to become more noticeable.  Once we turn to the folds, I like to place enough Bellafill to create what appears to be 80% of correction, give the area at least two months to assess the final build and only then consider additional product.  It would appear that you should start with two syringes and plan on less with subsequent visits.
