Would gaining weight help fill out and tighten the face? Or would fillers/botox be the only method?
Answer: Weight loss does affect facial volume loss Hello and thank you for your question. Yes, it is very likely that if you are to gain weight, your face will also fill out as well. Keep in mind that genetics play a role in fat distribution as well and that you still may need fillers to get optimum results. Botox, on the other hand is not used to volume replacment and is used as a treatment for wrinkles, as well as prevention of static wrinkles (or wrinkles that are seen on the face when no expression is being made). It is best to first see a nutritionist for a healthy weight gain and maintenance regimen. When you have reached your goal, and you still feel that volume is needed, be sure to seek an experienced injector who specializes in facial aesthetics for best results. Good luck!

Answer: Facial Volume with Fillers (Radiesse, Voluma, Bellafill), Sculptra, Fat Transfer to Face, Implants + Skin Tightening You need a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert to assess your current condition, discuss your aesthetic goals, and develop a treatment plan that works for you.In our practice, we improve facial volume with strategically placed fillers (Voluma, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra. Fat grafting and implants are more permanent alternatives. Botox can help slim and contour the jawline, but it will not "fill out" the face. Ultherapy, Renuvion, and various RF treatments can provide skin tightening and lift. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Facial Volume restoration Hello and thank you for your query. Weight gain in general, affects the entire body and is usually not targeted. Its difficult to predict fat distribution in advance. Having said that, weight gain does help with facial volume restoration. Fillers on the other hand are targeted and customized. Botox is not used for volume restoration but rather dynamic wrinkles/lines. I would suggest that if want to gain weight, you should consult a nutritionist for a healthy weight gain and maintenance regimen. You can still use fillers for targeted volumization. Regards Neel Bector

Answer: Weight Gain Hello. Thank you for your question. Without seeing your pictures it is hard to determine the best treatment for you. Another, more permanent options, would be a product called Sculptra. This product helps regrow collagen when it is lost in the face.

Answer: Weight gain effects on the face Weight gain, in general, is usually seen all over one's body, including the face. Just as we see many patients who have lost weight concerned with their facial appearance request dermal fillers, it stands to reason that weight gain may add some volume back to the face and may eliminate the desire to have dermal fillers. I would discuss any plans to intentionally gain weight for this reason with your doctor ahead of time to consider its effects on your overall health.
