When I read questions on real self about marijuana, it's always about smoking it. I'm curious about vaping it? Not oils or concentrates. Actual marijuana plant. I have a device that heats the weed. It does not light it on fire. There is no combustion involved. The vaping device I use eliminates 95% of smoke. Therefor, you are not inhaling carbon monoxide. Times have changed and technology has advanced. Any studies or research on this topic? I'm tired of these opiates and I'm still sore.

Answer: Vape/Cigarettes can be detrimental Most experts unanimously agree that smoking increases the rate of BBL surgical complications significantly. Just about all plastic surgeons strongly recommend women to stop smoking and all nicotine products well in advance of breast augmentation with breast implants. Many plastic surgeons recommend stopping all tobacco products several months prior to surgery. Here is the reason why: the nicotine in cigarettes and other tobacco products (including Nicorette gum, patches, etc) is a vasoconstrictor, meaning it makes the Smoking is a significant multiplier of many potential complications following surgery and breast augmentation with implants are no exception. Nicotine from smoking causes blood vessels to vasoconstrict ( tighten up). Over time, these constricted arteries and capillaries deliver less blood to the breast tissue which is needed for normal healing. Smokers therefore have an increased incidence of higher likelihood of complications such as infection, and in particular capsular contracture (hardening and distortion of the implants). General complications of surgery such as blood clots, anesthetic problems such as pneumonia are also increased. A scientific article in the Archives of Internal Medicine indicated that, among all forms of surgery, quitting smoking eight weeks prior was never associated with an increased risk of complications. In young patients you will probably statistically avoid these complications, why tempt fate by increasing your odds that something bad will happen. On a long term basis, smoking also causes accelerated aging of the skin and loss of elasticity. Hopefully these reasons will help give you the will power and courage to stop smoking.

Answer: Is Vaping marijuana flowers 2 weeks post-op my mommy makeover surgery okay? Any research on this? Not smoking - vaping. Thank you for your questions. While there is not a large amount of reliable literature on this topic, it is something we are hearing more about now that MJ use is becoming more accepted. The biggest problem with substance use after surgery is affected the blood flow to the healing tissues. The biggest contributor to problems is certainly nicotine. THC use has not been shown to affect blood flow in the same way. So while that is not an endorsement, I do think that you could do a lot worse than vaping THC in the post-op period. But, just like with other questions regarding your post-op care, you need to discuss this with your surgeon as he or she may have different opinions on this topic. If there is any question, better to be safe than sorry and not do it.Hope this helps!
