Swelling after under eye vein removal?

Hi, I recently had laser treatment to breakdown a blue vein under my right eye. The treatment has worked fine, and removed the vein - however my eyebag feels a little heavier and puffier than usual, is this normal .. and is it just fluid retention/swelling following on from the laser treatment? How long will it be until it subsides ? Thanks

Hard to comment without any pictures but most likely its swelling after laser treatment and should start settling down after 72 hrs.

It’s important to distinguish between varicose veins and spider veins when choosing between laser therapy, sclerotherapy, and vein surgery. Post under eye treatments with laser, sclerotherapy or removal through micro incisions under eye swelling in very common and is due to tissue irritation from the treatment.  The swelling and bruising may take 2 to 4 weeks to resolve.

The laser treatment of a vein results in a thermal injury to the vein wall and the surrounding area. It is very common to have some mild swelling for a few days. If it does not resolve quickly, contact your doctor.
