The Spectra Carbon Laser Peel is a revolutionary skin rejuvenation treatment that is safe and gentle for most skin types and produces results with little to no downtime. The Spectra Peel evens skin tone, reduces pigmentation, diminishes enlarged pores, reduces acne, improves textural irregularities, and stimulates collagen production. The Spectra Laser treatment is also FDA approved to treat Melasma.*
If a carbon peel is done correctly, it is a very low risk procedure and has almost no down time and excellent immediate results. Be sure you are going to a dermatologist or plastic surgeon that personally has done lots of the procedure and has experience and great results. Best of luck!
I was the first practice in the country to use the spectra peel and find it to be a reliable safe technique provided it is done properly and your expectations are in line with what the laser can and cannot do.The loss of color will depend on your skin type if you are darker the laser is appropriate but must be adjusted downward to avoid loss of color, burns etc.As will all lasers the training and experience of your physician is key, so go to a provider with a lot of happy patients. This laser will help rejuvenate the skin , reduce some redness , reduce or remove sun damage and reduce acne. It will not resurface your skin removing acne scars and it is only marginal at pore reduction.California is an area that has a lot of spectra lasers so you should be able to find a provider easily. Just make sure the laser is the Lutronic Spectra.
It is one of the safest lasers out there, providing you follow the Specialist guidelines. This uses a QSL and treatments should be spaced every 2-4 weeks, please see a Dermatologist or Plastics for the safest treatment. Kind regards, Dr Davin S. Lim
