For sculpture to the buttocks, is it better to inject deeper or shallow?? I’ve had different surgeons say different with no consistency and it’s extremely frustrating to get truthful answers. I’m looking to correct some dimples, but as a priority I want a flat zone projected (post 2 bbl). Projecting the flat one is critical. Please advise so that I’m not throwing away hard earned $!
Answer: Sculptra BBL Injecting shallow (just underneath the skin) will give you more of a result considering the smaller volumes being injected with Sculptra. Addressing dimples can be more challenging because they are all different and you may need to have the injections at different levels based on a particular dimple.

Answer: Sculptra BBL Great question. Sculptra is a great treatment that is non-invasive and can improve projection, contour and texture of the buttock. See the link below for some important research on the topic.

Answer: Failure of second BBL and sculptra injections The flat spot on your buttocks will not come out from injecting fillers or fat. There's connective tissue anchoring the skin to a certain distance from your muscle fascia. This area on the body is like the palm of the hand. It has to hold your entire body weight when you're sitting. Just like you can't pinch the skin on the palm of your hand like you can on the back of your hand. The palm of the hand has lots of connective tissue anchoring the skin in place creating a structured surface that can hold great pressure. The problem with doing a BBL on people with a flat spot on their lower mid bottom is everything expands except the flat spot. Try injecting sculptra if you want. I don't think it will work. Those type of volumes are also going to be very expensive. For single small areas subsition to release the tissue bands can work but I don't think anyone should do it on the entire sitting surface of the buttocks. This is the technique for treating so you lied which is caused by the same bands of connective tissue. So my recommendation is to not throw away hard to earn money. There is simply some inherent limitations. If you had two BBL procedures and could not get the results you want then this is probably the best it's going to be. Sounded like you wanted the truth so there it is. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: BBL with fat vs Sculptra Dear California,Great question. You’ve mentioned you’ve had two BBLs already, if they were with fat, then you know how many hundreds of cc ‘s of volume you got each time. You will spend way too much to make it worth it for just a fraction of the amount of Sculptra. With that said a few little superficial flat or cellulite regions can be improved with Sculptra place more superficially, under the dermis. Then good massaging 5 min, 5x a day for 5 days to stimulate your own bodies collagen.Best. Dr Brecht Seattle, Wa
