How can you reverse the aftermath of removing dorsal hump?

My hump was removed by the rasping technique and cephalic trim to my tip , which has left me with a wider and a piggy like nose. I read that removing the hump makes the nose looks wider. My question is how can we fix this problem? My nose looks wide, no bridge whatsoever, nostrils very uneven, alar retraction, and simply just ugly. Please tell me what to do or name some of the things that can be done to reverse those outcomes. I have not taken a step outside of house for a month. Help. Help.

Hello,Thanks for your question. Yes a hump can be restored with either an implant or cartilage grafting. I recommend that you consult with a revision rhinoplasty specialist once you are one year postop for the best chance of a successful outcome.Good luck,Dr. Shah

The left alar notching can be improved by putting a new cartilage graft in that area but it is a VERY difficult area to correct. Sometimes getting a small amount of filler in that area is a better option. RegardsDr Janjua
