Hi! I am 2 mons rhinoplasty post op. My nose before was fine and thinner. But 2 days ago it started to become red and swell. My suspects are 1) because I massage it very hard that's why it started to swell. 2) because of the kojic soap I use and exposed it to sun. 3) Or the make up brushes I use?? Infected?? If it is, I dont feel anything. My doctor is really hard to reach because of busy scheds. We will meet in 3 days. He asked me to take antibiotics for 7 days. Please I need an honest answer.

Hi there, it is hard to give you good medical advice through the internet. Without touching the nose and examining in person, I might be missing something important. Having said that, I do think you are taking the correct steps to take care of this. Do take the prescribed antibiotics and avoid manipulating the skin or adding new skin treatments (so you can better know if the skin is irritated or there is a problem with the deeper implant). If the redness spreads to a larger area, do tell your surgeon right away. Hope this resolves soon. Hang in there!
