Thank you for your question about whether it’s possible to undergo a thigh lift, arm lift, and breast lift without implants at the same time? Your chosen plastic surgeon can best answer this question. Your plastic surgeon selected should be experienced in performing multiple procedures in a single surgical setting. If they are comfortable with the procedure and you are medically cleared and healthy, it is possible to undergo these combined procedures. I have done these combined procedures. However, I do not suggest combining the thigh lift with the arm lift. Even though the procedures can be technically combined, the recovery can be challenging. You must imagine if you were in bed and needed to go to the bathroom. You will need your arms to pull yourself out of bed; however, your arms will hurt because you had arm surgery. You will then need to use your legs to ambulate to the bathroom. The legs will hurt because you just had thigh surgery. Then, you will need your arms to pull your garments off your lower body to sit on the toilet. This will hurt. Then you will need to use your legs to sit on the toilet. This again will hurt because your thighs had surgery. Then you will need your arms to clean yourself after using the bathroom; this will hurt again because your arms had surgery. Then you will need your arms to pull the garment back on and get yourself back to bed using your arms and legs. Therefore, in my opinion, even though these procedures can be combined, they shouldn’t because the recovery is too difficult for the patients. If you wish, I can have you talk to patients who have combined these procedures, which, in retrospect, would have preferred staging the systems. I hope this helps answer the question regarding whether you should incorporate a thigh lift, arm lift, and breast lift simultaneously. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen.
