Nerve damage and possible IT Band Damage after abdominoplasty and liposuction. Help.

I'm sorry to hear of the issues you are having since surgery. This situation really needs to be handled by your surgeon as she/he is most familiar with the details of your case and how you've been progressing through recovery. If needed a referral to a specialist can be made.

from tummy tucks and the pain can be quite intense.  Often it does improve with time and if its unbearable, you can talk to your surgeon about attempting a nerve block to see if relief can be achieved and it would also confirm the diagnosis.  The procedures you had should not impact your ability to ambulate but your pains could certainly hinder that some.  So yes, pains such as yours is sometimes seen after tummy tucks but it is not common.  Best to discuss your concerns with your surgeon.
