Hello, it’s been a couple of years I had a mommy make over (breast augmentation and tummy tuck). I have been having some discomfort in my right breast and at first I thought I pulled something but it’s been a while and that feels has not gone away. I believe I have gummy bear implants. If it ruptured could I be at risk of anything? Also, should I go to my PCP or PS for care?

Answer: Ruptured implant Dear CatRangel4ever,I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Pain After Mommy Makeover CatRangel4ever. Sorry to hear you are having this issue. Usually, ruptured implants do not cause pain and because they are gummy bear implants, there is no cause for concern of spillage as they are semi solid. Your first course of action should be to see your plastic surgeon for full evaluation. Best of luck.
