Please help me. 3rd-day suture removal, very infected, too much skin removed, what will my outcome look like? (Photos)

Be patient, it is still too early to evaluate what the outcome of your alarplasty will be.  From these photos, I not see any obvious evidence of infection.  Give your nose the necessary time to heal, and make sure you follow up with your surgeon.  Best of luck!Dr. Julie Edween

At three weeks, scars from alar surgery do not usually look good.  Swelling is expected at this stage.  Its hard to do, but patience is important.  One suggestion that works well for my patients is using a 100% topical silicone ointment on the scar lines.  Seems to get the inflammation out more quickly

it is too early to make any determination of how your nostrils will eventually look.  There does not seem to be an obvious infection based on the photos but a lot of distortion from suture placement and general post surgical swelling.  There is nothing to do at this point other than keeping an antibiotic ointment on the suture line.  Give it 3 months before making any judgement about how it looks or whether a revision will be necessary.  You should avoid having another revision.
