6 days after Botox - didn't stop facial sweating

I would wait the full duration of 14 days to see what the outcome of your treatment is. If you are still sweating I would go back to your injector to evaluate your results. 

Hello, it actually takes around 2 weeks to see full effects of a Botox treatment. I would sit tight for another week to see how your results change. You can always schedule a follow-up consult with your board-certified injector if you have concerns after that time. In the cases of sweating, Botox may take 1-2 weeks to take effect.  If you do not see any results after that you may need more Botox.  However, more Botox has to weighed against causing too much stiffness in the forehead and droopiness of the eyebrows.

It can take 1-2 weeks for final results with Botox. Sweating can be improved with Botox and/or glycopyrrolate. It may be additional Botox is needed to get the desired results. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your questions and post. Botox will typically begin to "kick in" after 4-7 days, but some may see results earlier. The full effect is usually seen after 7-10 days so two weeks after your injections is a great time for a follow-up with your injector if you are not getting the results you desire. Additional injections may be given at 2 weeks if more correction is desired/needed. Botox typically lasts ~ 3 months for most, but for some maybe a bit longer or shorter, and after that it begins to slowly wear off.

Botox has been shown to result in an 82-87% decrease in sweating. Results start to be noticeable approximately 2 to 4 days after treatment with the full effects usually noted within 2 weeks. Dryness typically lasts 4 to 12 months but some studies have found it can last as long as 14 months. Additional statistics from published research studies have shown that repeated treatment with Botox is safe and effective for hyperhidrosis and consistently results in meaningful, long-lasting improvements in an excessive sweating patient’s symptoms, daily functioning, and quality of life. Botox treatment for hyperhidrosis has also been scientifically proven to improve on-the-job productivity. While sweating is an essential body function for temperature-control, localized body areas house only a small percentage of the body's sweat glands (the underarms, for instance, are home to less than 2% of the body’s sweat glands. You must give it more time to take effect. Can take up to 2 weeks for full results. 

You are actually responding early to the Botox for the cosmetic area and usually it will take 7-10 days for the effects to appear but be aware that Botox does not work as well on the face for sweating as it does under the arms or on the hands or feet

Botox is a good treatment for hyperhidrosis but it doesn't completely stop excessive sweating(hyperhidrosis). I think you should give it at least another week for results. You may want to visit your Dermatologist to discuss other medical treatments for hyperhidrosis. In my practice, I seldom use Botox alone to treat this condition.

Botox if used in the right amount will stop sweating. I'm guessing you need more Botox in those areas, and may take 1-2 weeks to take effect.
