I decided to undergo underarm botox even though I didn't have a problem with excessive sweating. I was told the effect will wear off by 8 months, however I noticed that i started to sweat 2 weeks after my botox! Does this mean underarm botox does not work for me? Should I have it re-done? Did the doctor do something wrong?

Hello, I suffer from excessive sweating in the armpits caused by nervousness or excitement. For example, I sweat when I play chess because of the tension and pressure. Also, I sweat because of fear of sweating, which you might call a vicious cycle. I have read that stress can reduce the effectiveness, and I even wonder if I could still play chess after the treatment, for example, or if it would damage the Botox and neutralize the effect.
Is it possible to get Botox in the crook of your arm (the front of the bend of your elbow) for sweating? I want it because I use sunless tanning lotion in the summer and it sweats off right there really bad when I exercise. I generally don't work out in the summer because of this, but would like to be able to work out and not deal with the sunless tanning lotion sweating off there. I've googled quite a bit and have not found anything on receiving Botox there. TIA!
Hi, Since I was 4 or 5 y.o., I have suffered from excessive sweating. Over the decades, I have never addressed the issue. But for the past year, I have started going to work by foot, which means I have to change t shirt several times a day. Since my entire back and chest is sweating profusely, is botox unrealistic (zone size) or still doable? What treatments are possible for large zones?
I am going to be getting the botox injections for my hands soon because none of the other treatments have worked for me. I am nervous that I can lose some hand dexterity after getting the injections. Is it normal to lose some hand movement or is it possible to regain all hand control after the procedure?
