16 days post op breast lift with augmentation slight bleeding on incision (Photo)

Thanks for your inquiry, I suggest you have your surgeon carefully monitor your progress.  If you see any pus or new redness on the breast discuss with your surgeon ASAP.

Hello,This is not active bleeding, but blood that accumulated days or weeks ago. You are safe, however you need to be cleaned and fresh tape applied to protect and support your incisions. Best of luck.

Thank you for your pictures and questions. At two weeks, the incision should be healed and have no drainage. However, if there is a portion of the incision that has not healed properly, this may be causing the bleeding. However, if you continue to have drainage from the incision going forward, I would be worried about chronic seroma or infection. You should continue to follow with your surgeon closely. Best of luck!

Dear colettequizia,in most cases, wound is healed after 16 days and it should not bleed. However, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. I would suggest you to follow your plastic surgeon's instructions and consult him in case you are concerned. At 16 days having a small amount of drainage would not be real unusual. However, I am glad you are following up closely with your surgeon. Continue your good wound care and alert your surgeon of any changes. Good luck.

Hello, all seems to be healing well from your photos. You have a small ooze from your T junction. This is the tightest area of skin closure and I always inform my patients that there can be as you have described. I recommend simple gauze dressing as you have in your bra and it settles with no intervention. Im sure you will soon have no cause for concern. The blood looks dark, old blood just coming out at the point where 3 pieces of skin come tightly together.

Contact your surgeon so he can monitor your wound.  Infection and chronic seroma would be concerns based on the information you shared.
