I like to protect the nose from the "foot-prints" of spectacles for 6 weeks after Rhinoplasty.Most patients need 14 days after surgery before they are back to full time work, and gym/running/heavy lifting.
I patients need to wear spectacles or goggles, then I give them the plastic post-op cast to take home after I remove it on Day 7, and they can wear that to protect the nose, under their spectacles.In your case, I would probably wait about another 7 days, then have you wear that under the safety goggles.There are is a protective gel sheet you can wear.

After a septoplasty and rhinoplasty, you should not do any physical exercise for at least two weeks to prevent a nosebleed. Once you go back to work, you can use the cast that was placed on the bridge of your nose to rest your safety goggles on. Bending over should not be a problem.
