I have had a monsplasty + lipo of the mons in the past. I’m looking to remove more fat and am wondering if I am a good candidate for additional liposuction. I moved provinces and am unable to meet with my plastic surgeon. Also wondering what the general cost would be for lipo in this specific area?

Answer: What are my options for mons pubis reduction? Hello and thank you for your question and sharing your photos. You do have some skin laxity and I believe you will have a better result with liposuction + excision of excess/loose skin (a mini tummy tuck type procedure). I would seek consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon for a full evaluation and advice. Best, Pejman Aflaki, M.D. Johns Hopkins-trained double board-certified plastic surgeon

Answer: Revision Surgery You could have more liposuction, but you have a rope thick scar that needs revising. I would recommend scar excision and advancement downward (at least centrally), to achieve scar removal, skin reduction, and direct fat excision. Liposuction may or may not also be entertained. Post surgical tape therapy (Hypafix tape) should be used for 2-3 months to prevent recurrent hypertrophic scarring.
