Any suggestions on clinics or surgeons around Calgary as well as the cost. Im also considering medical tourism if tgat would be cheaper.

Hello Mahnamesia. We get a lot of patients from Canada in Scottsdale each and every year mainly because Scottsdale is know as a plastic surgery hub. The weather and the accommodations are really great too, especially this time of year. Scottsdale is also well known for great breast implant results and has its own MTF center at Greenbaum. It is usually a good idea to seek a specialist in breast augmentation and one with plenty of experience with MTF breast augmentation! You may have to travel to find the best for your situation. Although most board certified plastic surgeons perform breast augmentation, not all plastic surgeons feel comfortable performing this procedure in trans women.  You may have to travel to find someone who is willing to perform the surgery for you.  The cost will vary depending on the surgeon as well as the geographical location. Thank you for your inquiry.Breast augmentation, is a cosmetic procedure that inserts breast implants behind the breast to enlarge and shape the breast. The shape, size, and placement of the implants will be determined at your appointment following an exam, medical history, and discussion with the doctor. Breast augmentation is a 1-1½hour outpatient procedure with a 5-7 day recovery away from work and 3-4 weeks away from heavy activity or upper body exercise.  The estimated cost of the breast augmentation with saline implants is $4200-4800. The new cohesive gel silicone implants are also available, and the cost is somewhat higher, around $5400-5800. This price includes my surgical fee, the anesthesiologist’s charges, the facility fee, the implants and the recovery garment, and follow-up care. You will be selecting one of the most experienced surgeons in Atlanta in this procedure.
