I can tell you from experience with a patient of mine who had similar desires that this is not easily done and may not be possible. A transgender patient of mine wanted implants but wanted to hide them at work, so we went with modest volume implants. A couple years later she returned wanting them replaced with larger implants. Therefore, I would caution you with going with small implants in order to keep hidden from others, as you may not be entirely satisfied in the long run.
Dear rushjeremy, It may be difficult finding a surgeon willing to perform this surgery, since most surgeons must adhere to certain standards regarding transgender surgeries. Many require that you be living as your preferred gender for at least a year prior to surgery, including at work and around all family members. In addition, there are requirements for psychotherapy treatment as well. You can refer to WPATH Standards of Care, which outline the different criteria. Hope this helps!
It is all a matter of degree. The more implant, the more noticeable. The less implant, the less it seems "worth it". Showing your surgeon photos of your desired look helps tremendously. If you are not going through formal gender reassignment you should have a very thorough discussion with your surgeon, preferably with your wife about proceeding. I am all for people doing what makes them happy, we just want to be certain.
Hello Jeremy,In my opinion, you are wise to have small implants if you are a thin person. You have the option of inserting them through a shorter incision, such as one that rim the lower edge of your areola.I hope this helps.
