I dropped my phone on my nose bridge from a short distance. I had rhinoplasty and deviated septum fixed 11 months ago

There is a very small bump where it hit and it becomes red when touched for too long or when I put ice on it. It was a bit painful to touch the first days but now its not as painful , just a little discomfort if I touch it.I cant contact my surgeon since i had surgery done overseas. I'm just worried that the bump is something more than a swelling and if its gonna be permanent. There was no sharp pain or bleeding when this happened. Redness happened when i started touching the area.

Hi @MartaChudzinska! Piezosurgery is a more gentle technique that allows for greater precision. Less bruising and swelling is common with Piezosurgery. In a typical rhinoplasty, a hammer and chisel technique is performed leading to more inadvertent fractures. Best of Luck, Dr. Nima!

At 4 weeks with thick skin, it is early to see resolution of the swelling.  You would need many months for this to occur.  Once the tip is soft and supple and does not feel hard like bone and you have normal sensation, you will know the swelling has all resolved.
