Blepharoplasty and ptosis major anxiety post surgery. WIll I be OK? (Photo)

Question

I’m 15 days out, I consulted with my surgeon and made it clear that I didn’t want to lose my identity after this surgery. I didn’t mind my hooded eyes and I loved my almond shape. All I wanted was the loose wrinkly skin dealt with. Now I feel like they are ruined. I am embarrassed to be seen by my friends and co workers. I have such a deep crease where I never had before. I have so much open lid visible wrinkles appearing. The shape is different and I feel cross eyed. Will I be ok?

You are still healing from surgery and the excessive eyelid platform show is due to swelling.  It will definitely continue to improve.  Some things you can do to help the swelling resolve: avoid salty foods, sleep with your head elevated on 2 pillows, perform warm compresses to your eyelids twice a day (don't do more than that and don't burn your lids with excessively hot compresses).
