What are the benefits/drawbacks of each for the chin? My doc said my chin needs a bit of volume to line up better with my nose & lips
Answer: Adding volume to the chin Dear Amandiney,Thank you for the question. Based on your photo, it looks like you would benefit from chin fillers. Both Juvederm and Voluma can be used for the chin, but I prefer to use Voluma in my practice as you get can get more shape and contour using Voluma. Plus, it lasts longer than Juvederm. When you are ready, please look at before and after photos on my website and we can set up a complimentary in-person consultation to address your concerns and answer all of your questions.Best regards,Nima Shemirani

Answer: Non-Surgical Chin Augmentation with Injectable Fillers -- Radiesse, Sculptra, Surgical Implants, See an Expert "A formal evaluation would be needed to determine what's best. Many of my patients try to avoid surgery, so we perform a non-surgical chin augmentation treatment with injectable fillers. Fillers like Radiesse, Voluma, BellaFill as well as Sculptra are injected into the area, improving the overall appearance of the lower face and balancing the jaw and lip harmony. We use cannula injections to meticulously contour and project the chin, soften the chin along the jawline and improve the chin crease. Implants are still a great option once you are 100% positive that you are ready for a permanent enhancement. I suggest getting a consultation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert; our practice is located right here in Los Angeles. Best, Dr. Emer"

Answer: Non Surgical Chin Enhancement Hi and thanks for your question. Non Surgical Chin Enhancement is something we do daily at my clinic. Both Juvederm and Voluma are good, safe and effective hyaluronic acid fillers, but Voluma is the one that I usually use to sculpt facial features like the chin, cheeks and nose. It is placed deep so the contours are smooth, it lifts and projects better than the softer Juvederm and it lasts about 3 times as long (1.5 to 2 years) in an area like the chin. Both fillers are easily reversible at any time with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. Hope that helps.

Answer: Fillers For Chin Augmentation Both fillers are suitable for use in the chin. Which one would be best for you should be determined during an in-person consultation and evaluation. Make sure you find an experienced injector. Best wishes.

Answer: Adding Volume In The Chin We tend to prefer Voluma when a large quantity of filler is needed or if we are going to do several areas and want to use a smaller "leftover "amount in the chin. The duration of the material is purportedly higher and we think that this is the case for Voluma.
