Question

Ok now im freaking out i have an eyebrow transplant exactly a week ago today was my follow up and dr couldnt give me a complete explanation on how my eyebrows are going to heal i think they look too harsh too thick too dark but i dont know if is too soon yo tell or maybe there are going to soften a little im really worried my husband and friends told me that they look too bold for my face is it too soon too tell or they are going to look like that all the time i seven days post op

At the moment, it may be too soon to evaluate your final results. The full results of a new growth cycle usually takes between 4-6 months. However, if you are concerned about having a wide brow shape, you may want to discuss this with your doctor and see if he or she could provide a solution. If you still feel that your brows appear harsher than you would like after waiting, this may be due to the thickness of scalp hairs used. Thinner hair from other regions like the nape or legs are a closer match for eyebrow hair. It can be difficult to reliably predict your final result after eyebrow transplant.  An expert placement involves direction of hair + direction of hair curl.  Wait for your hair to grow to help determine your success.  Best Anil Shah

Let everything heal and see how you feel, everyone feels like they are "bold" after transplant because you have not adjusted to the new hairs.  You can shape them how you wish after but give it at least 4-6 months before you consider if they are too much for you.

They will always look exaggerated during the immediate post op period because of the scabbing as well as the swelling that may not be fully resolved yet.  The only thing you can really do at this time is see how it grows in and try not to freak out!  Worst case is you can laser hairs away in the future. You need to give it more time to settle down. It has only been a week. As with FUE of the scalp, you would need to give it  a good 8 months to a year to see what you have....keeping in mind that you will have to trim and manage it.   Also, this is a slightly different look for you and you're not used to it.
