I’ve been very sad and regretting getting liposuction all over my body, especially my chin. It’s been 9 days since my surgery and I have a crooked smile. Will this get better? Is this normal?

Answer: Crooked smile Do not despair. This will most certainly resolve itself within 6 to 12 weeks. Meanwhile I would ask your surgeon to balance the smile with neurotoxin (Botox) judiciously placed on the opposite side at the chin.It is highly unlikely that any significant nerve injury resulted from this surgery but time should ease your concerns. Stay close to your surgeon and allow him or her to help you get through this postoperative depression you are describing
