I would expect this resolve over the next couple of months.  The nerve that controls smiling can be temporarily weaker after surgery, but will return to normal.Neuromodulators like Botox can be used to help create a more even smile.  As it wears off over 3-4 months and the nerve gains strength, you should noticed your smile returning to normal.

It is not normal to get a crooked smile after liposuction under the chin, but it is possible.  Usually, this issue resolves completely over time, but it can take several weeks to months.  I would be sure to follow up with your surgeon so that your progress can be monitored.  

Thank you for your question! It is quite common for patients to have a brief weakness of the nerve supplying the lower lip. This typically gets better over a couple of weeks. You should discuss your concerns with you PS but in general this resolves fully! Best of luck.
