How effective are prednisone and singulair? Possible capsular contracture - Should I remove and get BBL? (photos)

Question

I had butt implants & hip implants in December 2017 (550cc's oval implants). I like the way they look but don't like how hard they feel (Very stiff). I got a bbl by another doctor 1.5 years ago (added a little bit of fat on the sides).Improved outcome but butt is still hard. My doctor recommends to first take the meds & if that doesn't work to downsize the implants w/ a capselectomy. Do I have enough fat to remove and get a bbl? Goal- same size butt but softer, squishier butt & smaller waist.

You have very limited fat left to transfer to your buttock. You  probably had most of your excess fat removed with your previous BBL. I do a lot of BBLs and do not do buttock implants because of the risks. However, if you have your implants removed you do not have enough fat to replace them with near the same volume. Carefully consider your options. Good luck.

First, you look great.  I understand the implants are hard and you need to be addressed.  I have never had great results with the Singulair or steroids.  Capsulectomies work, but may re-occur.  I would try the steroids and other oral medications, then consider the capsulectomy.  I do not feel you have enough fat for a BBL.

There is research that leukotriene inhibitors cancer often capsule contractions around soft breast implants. Gluteal implants are solid and are naturally firm.  I don’t think there is evidence that prednisone will improve capsular contractions.

I’m going capsular contracture‘s can sometimes because by a sub clinical contamination with the bacteria called staph. epidermidis. These contaminations cannot be cleared by antibiotics or capsulectomies.

There is no shortage of fat but fat transfer typically doesn’t give the appearance of having implants.  Implants given a significant volume in a very small discrete area.  Fat transfer tends to give subtle volume over a more defuse area. The two procedures give different types of results.
