I am 8 weeks post op and had a stitch that popped through. They hadto numb me up and pull it out in the center of my TT incision a week ago. I have a terrible burning pain now on the left almost where the drain was. I am not on an antibiotic. Do I need one? MY PS says the center is the weakest spot of the incision but everything else is doing great. How long will I have this stinging sensation? It's on and off all day long way worse when up and moving.

Seroma can occur. I try to guard against it by using drains placed during surgery. I would be mor concerned about not evacuating the fluid than with infection risk from the drain itself. Draining a seroma is a basic procedure but it can be more complex if the seroma is deep or diffuse.
