Answer: I have $5000 and I need a bit of loose skin removed. Are there payment plans for Tummy Tucks (no credit)? I think that there are some ways to help you out in your situation. It would be helpful to examine you or see pictures to determine how involved the procedure may be.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA

Answer: I have $5000 and I need a bit of loose skin removed. Are there payment plans for Tummy Tucks (no credit)? Congratulations on your significant weight loss! The presence of lose/redundant skin can be very frustrating to patients who have experienced significant weight loss only to be left with the visual “reminder". When it comes to cost of surgery, there may be many “variables” involved. The specific surgeon's credentials/experience level (or lack thereof), the specific geographic area you are looking at, the different operations available, the location of the procedure ( quality of surgery facility), type/quality of anesthesia provider… are some of the potential variables involved. You will find some average costs of surgery listed on this website and on individual plastic surgeons' websites (including attached link) as well. In regards to outcome of the planned procedure, more important than costs of the procedures will be careful selection of your plastic surgeon. I would suggest starting with the American Society of Plastic Surgery and/or the Aesthetic Society of Plastic Surgery to obtain a list of well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons. Then, I would suggest you visit a few surgeons whose practices concentrate on aesthetic surgery. Ask to see lots of examples of their work and preferably speak/see patients who have had similar procedures done. Be very careful with your decision-making. You will find, while doing your due diligence, that there are many different “specialties” who will offer their services to you; again, I strongly recommend you concentrate on surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Again, I would also suggest that you do not base your selection of plastic surgeon primarily on costs of surgery; keep in mind that revisionary surgery may be more costly in many ways. Best wishes.

Answer: Cart before the horse You should seek a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who will record a medical history and perform a physical examination. After this she/he will be able to discuss the options that will best meet your aeshtetic goals. My advice to you is to listen to the options offered by your surgeon and the pros and cons of each. If there is a reasonable option that fits your budget, great. However, I would not recommend having a less expenxive operation that is not going to accomplish your goals - then you will be disappointed and have spent your money. Many people finance cosmetic surgery and many surgeon's offices can help you navigate this process. As with everything, read the fine print and make sure you understand the fees and interest of any loan you take.

Answer: I have $5000 and I need a bit of loose skin removed. Are there payment plans for Tummy Tucks (no credit)? Thank you for your question . You should be able to have a tummy tuck under $5000. Please put your front, side pictures. These pictures are easier to see if they are taking by someone else not close to the camera of the area you are interested only to give you a better answer. Many surgeons, including myself, offer online virtual consultations where you send us your photos and we can estimate the cost. I, like many surgeons, also offer free consultations so that you can be examined and given the most accurate quote. Choose a board certified plastic surgeon who has done a ton of Brazilian Butt Lifts and has privileges to do this surgery at a local university hospital. This says his credentials have been checked out by fellow Drs. All surgeries carry risk, talk to your plastic surgeon and choose one wisely.

Answer: I have $5000 and I need a bit of loose skin removed. Are there payment plans for Tummy Tucks (no credit)? Payment plans are available for tummy tuck surgery. The amount that can be financed does depend on a patient's credit history. Costs of the procedure can vary depending on the extent of the tummy tuck - mini, standard, extended, etc. Many plastic surgery practices, including my own, can offer discounted pricing for patients that can fill an available surgical time slot on relatively short notice. Be certain not to overextend your budget for this procedure and seek out a board certified plastic surgeon with extensive tummy tuck experience. Best wishes, Dr Lepore.
