Dr's input about my eye darkeness, shadow (eyebag?).Not sure if my tired face look is because I'm tired or just my life style, or perhaphs my age, turning 26 in 2 months.I 've been working fulltime and averaged 5hours of sleep a day.Recently, this fall I became a fulltime student, however I still sleep 5-4hours a day. Will sleeping 8hours a day somehow make my tired look go away or should I still resort to under eye filler?too young?
Answer: How Long Does Belotero Last Under The Eye -- Use Cannulas, Will Need Twice Yearly Injections Belotero injections to the under eye last typically 6 months, and will need additional filler to maintain the results over time. I also combine multiple treatments such as lasers, microneedling/PRP that can tighten and rejuvenate the skin with fillers like Belotero or Restalyne to achieve optimal results. If at any time you are unhappy with the Belotero injections, treatment can be reversed with Hyaluronidase. I suggest a formal consult with a doctor who specializes in fillers and combination treatments for under eye "bags". Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Belotero & Teosyal Redensity II Work Well For Under Eye Bags, Hollows, Tear Troughs & Dark Circles Individual genetics for aging and to some extent chronic sun damage are the primary causes of tear troughs, dark circles, and under eye bags. Fortunately, nowadays, we have excellent fillers that can help to camouflage these problems for long periods of times, sometimes up to several years after just one treatment. In my Upper East Side Manhattan practice, I typically choose Belotero Balance, since it possesses little likelihood of engendering the unwanted, bluish Tyndall Effect when injected superficially within the delicate tissues under the eyes. (In my Israel satellite facility, where a far greater number of regulatory agency approved fillers are available, I usually opt for Teosyal Redensity II). No doubt with time, follow up treatments will be necessary, but treating these problems in this fashion does NOT cause the problems nor does it cause them to be worse than they would have been with time. If anything, we currently believe that these kinds of treatments performed over time may actually slow the aging process and, if performed sooner than later, may actually lessen or significantly delay the need for more extensive and aggressive interventions, like surgery. You would be well advised to seek consultation and treatment by a board certified aesthetic physician and make certain to ask to see his/her before and after photos before agreeing to proceed. Best of luck to you in this and in your science studies.

Answer: Filler vs. Blepharoplasty for under eye dark circles and bags You have both under eye bags (orbital fat prolapse) and tear trough hollowness (dark circles). You have 2 treatment options, each with pros and cons. 1) Lower blepharoplasty (transconjunctival with fat repositioning) where the fat bags are partially removed and partially repositioned to fill the hollow area below them which give it much more smooth under eye area that is long-term. 2) Filler injection the hollow part to reduce the dark circles and camouflage the presence of the bags; the effect lasts about 1 year. See following video and link. See an oculoplastic specialist.

Answer: Eye bags You're very pretty and have great features! This makes your improvements quite easier because we have such great things to work with. Make sure you get a great night sleep for a couple weeks- then see if you're still having these under eye issues. If you have no allergies (which can also cause this discoloration). If all these are done and cleared and you still have the dark circles filler can work magic in this area. The results last 1-2yrs generally. Hope this helps and God Bless! Dr. Robb

Answer: Treatment for dark circles and undereye hollows Diet, genetics, aging, and rest play a role in the appearance of the undereyes. In your case there is probably a combination of swelling and fat herniation under the eyes. A low salt diet and reduced alcohol intake can help with the swelling while fat herniation is usually camouflaged with filler injection or treated with surgery. I believe that filler injection would give you a nice result. The filler I would use is either Restylane or Volbella. You can expect the results to last 9-12 months. I find that Belotero is also a good filler in this area but does not last as long as Restylane and Volbella. Tear trough injection with fillers is one of the most commonly requested treatments at my Miami office. The undereyes are a common cosmetic concern.
