Looking for rhinoplasty advice for reduction in projection?

Based on my nose, should I be able to find a qualified surgeon in a mid sized city? What questions should I ask and is there anything specifically I should be on the lookout for?

Thank you for your question and photo. You are a great Candidate for Rhinoplasty, surgical instruments known as rasps and osteotomies (hammer and chisel) are used to reshape the nasal bones by removing the hump and/or narrowing the nasal bone width. These tools are relatively imprecise and their use can lead to contour irregularities, etc. if not used in the proper manner. Recently, a technology that uses sound waves has been developed to contour nasal bones in a precise and far less traumatic way when compared to traditional techniques. Ultrasonic, or Piezo, Rhinoplasty is now the most advanced technology available for minimally traumatic nasal bone reshaping and hump removal during Rhinoplasty. There will be hardly any bruising and swelling which will make the recovery period a lot easier for the patient.

I think you're an excellent candidate for a rhinoplasty.  I would suggest you see a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in the rhinoplasty procedure.  Specific issues that you should discuss with your surgeon are exactly what you don't like, what you would like changed and your expectations.  I'm certain you would have a very nice result but your expectations need to match what is surgically possible.  It's always best obtain several opinions prior to surgery.  Good luck.

The key to an attractive rhinoplasty is the balance between the nose and the facial features.  The appearance of your nose It appears to have the  slight over projection with minimal dorsal excess. Consequently a closed rhinoplasty with reducing the projection of the tip and slightly shortening of the labial:-columellar angle and decreasing the nasal dorsal is going to give you a attractively balanced nose that  is going to compliment yourb face very nicely play area
