Hi, I am assuming the ptosis surgery was done on the left upper lid and still is lower than the other side. It can be lifted higher conservatively so that the eyelids can still close over the eye. I also note that your right upper eyelid seems to be in a slightly higher than normal position - we may consider getting thyroid lab tests as well, which can change the position of the eyes and eyelids. I would recommend having a consultation with an oculoplastic surgeon.
Hi Juliecal24,Thanks for your question and excellent photos. Ptosis can be a difficult condition to treat, especially significant unilateral ptosis like yours. Depending on the technique (anterior or posterior) used to repair your ptosis, a waiting period of 6 months is prudent before concluding that a revision is required. In your case, I think a revision of your left upper eyelid using the anterior ptosis repair technique (external levator resection) would likely be appropriate. I would seek out an skilled oculoplastic surgeon in your area for an evaluation and discussion of your options. Good luck!
Hi. It looks like you still have left upper lid ptosis. At 6 months post op it is unlikely to get much better. Please see the following link for detailed information on how to possibly achieve more almond shape eyes. Canthoplasty may do it or it may require additional concurrent step to achieve the goal.
Internal ptosis surgery is usually the best method but there are many factors involved in deciding which method is the best. No matter what, it is best to see an oculoplastic specialist for eyelid ptosis surgery. See link below.
