However posterior ptosis repair is very reliable for small amounts of ptosis.  I suspect that you will need an anterior levator ptosis surgery.  The other issue is to determine if you also have latent ptosis in the left upper eyelid.  A detailed consultation will assess this.  To give you an idea of why my office charges a consultation fee, the consultation you need will last about an hour to arrive at the data that is needed to make a detailed assessment necessary to plan surgery and discuss these options with you.  You can decide what happens if the surgeon only spends 5 minutes with you.  Choose wisely.
