Answer: Facial evaluation Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you appear to have a recessive chin. A chin implant and submental liposuction can be performed at the same time for improved jaw line contour. I always use a medpor implant with screw fixation, which stays in place over time. A silicone chin implant has a high rate of malrotation over time. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and not just a computer animation system. You should be able to view numerous pictures of actual patients with noses similar to yours performed by your surgeon. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Answer: Closed Scarless Nose Rhinoplasty Hello! Thank you for your picture and question!I do not think your face or nose is hideous. It's a bit difficult to properly evaluate your nose with these photographs. If you are interested in a rhinoplasty then a closed rhinoplasty procedure is the best option for someone who is looking for a refinement of the nose. I recommend going to a Plastic Surgeon that specializes in closed scarless rhinoplasty (preferred by actresses and celebrities) because there is no risk of external scarring and much less healing and recovery time. Closed rhinoplasty enables you to have flash recovery with very minimal bruising if at all. You will only have to wear a cast for 5-7 days, no one will know you had anything done. All the incisions are made from inside the nose. The goal is to finesse and enhance the nose without drastic change. It still looks like it is your nose just more refined without looking fake. Meaningful refinement is the key! All the same surgical maneuvers your nose requires can be performed with a skilled closed scarless surgeon. Best of luck, Deepak Dugar MD Beverly Hills Rhinoplasty Center

Answer: Improving Your Facial Profile Thank you very much for your question and photographs. Unfortunately, it is difficult to fully answer your question without an in-person evaluation and discussion. However, looking at your pictures, there are several surgical and noninvasive treatment options that may help to achieve your desired results. For example, a chin that is slightly recessed can disrupt the balance between facial features. A chin implant could be used to bring added definition to your jawline. Additionally, rhinoplasty is also an excellent option for sculpting the nose, which in turn, may dramatically improve your overall profile. Noninvasive techniques like a nonsurgical rhinoplasty or a liquid facelift use soft tissue fillers to temporarily improve the shape of your features without the expense and commitment of surgery. My recommendation is that you locate a board-certified cosmetic surgeon in your area, experienced in surgical and noninvasive facial rejuvenation, and schedule a private consultation. At this time, he/she will discuss your aesthetic goals and explain your options before creating a personalized treatment plan designed around your needs.
