Dear all, I have breathing problems for almost 7-8 years, always congested and several times a year a sinus infection. We tried with several esteroids nose prays but it didn't work, so 5 years ago ENT doctor did a turbinate reduction with the method of coblation. After that my breathing problems got better, but were not gone. So we started trying to use esteroids sprays but didn't help at all. I got quiet addicted to xylometazoline because of the breath shortness I had always.

Of. Purse it would help to examine you.  There may be something other than just turbinate playing a role so you need a detailed exam.  It is also possible that the turbinate reduction wasn’t aggressive enough and the inferior turbinates need removal.  I find that turbinate removal works quite well as opposed to simply cauterizatoon.
