Visible Juverderm lumps in cheek and temple 1 month after - is it due to superficial placement? (photos)

Question

Over a month ago I had 1 unit of Juvederm Ultra XC placed superficially in my temples, and 1 unit placed in corner of jaw, masseter area and buccal area. The temples have a visible indentation on both sides of the placed filler, towards the orbital rim and hairline. The filler protrudes more when I smile. Also, I can see in certain lighting both a bolus of filler in my masseter and buccal area. Is it due to superficial placement? Would more filler blend them in? Or should I remove it?

From the limited photos it does appear the filler may be placed superficially causing the contour concerns you mentioned.  I encourage you to discuss your concerns and options with your experienced injector.  If an HA filler was used the product can be dissolved with hyaluronidase.

It does look like the product has been placed too superficial in both areas. 
Your options would be to either have it dissolved if it really bothers you.  Or massage and let it settle on it own. Due to it being Ultra XC it should settle quiet quickly.
