My nose throat ear dr will preform my septorhinoplasty surgery and I am scared as I don't know how will be my out coming results. I was wondering if my nose will look close to the girl on the right side of the picture or not? The dr told that she will fix my droopy nose by cutting a little of the muscles between my lip and the tip of my nose. I asked if my tip needs more definition she told me that I have a good tip and if she touches it I will have the"pinched looked nose" so what do you think
Answer: Supratip break From your photo, you do have thicker skin than the models you showed. Also, I can tell by looking at the photo that you have cephalically oriented lower laterals. This means the cartilage in the tip continues from the tip in a more vertical direction. This give typical supratip fullness and rounding of the tip. There are definitely ways to improve the definition of your tip without making it look "pinched". You should definitely have a more in depth discussion about this with your doctor. If you don't like your tip now, you will still not like it after your have had a surgery that does not address it.Fixing a droopy nose by cutting the muscle between the lip and the nose is only addressing one issue. Support of the tip to resist drooping is more important. This would also be something to clarify with your surgeon. Good luck.

Answer: Rhinoplasty for supratip break Rhinoplasty is the hardest operation to perform correctly in the entire field of cosmetic surgery, so choose your surgeon very wisely based on experience. Computer imaging would also be very helpful in the education process to understand what can and cannot be accomplished with the rhinoplasty procedure. Some patients do desire a supratip break, while others do not. Each rhinoplasty procedure is customized and individualized according to the patient's anatomy and desires. Look for a surgeon who is dedicated a significant portion of their practice to rhinoplasty and performs them very frequently.

Answer: Rhinoplasty It is difficult to comment without seeing more views. I am not a fan of cutting the muscle under the nose. If the tip is low, I prefer to use other maneuvers.

Answer: Supra tip break procedure Dear Girlygirl, Based on your photo, it’s hard to say if your surgeon will be able to achieve the same or even close to the same result as the model’s nose on the right. Generally, there is cosmetic benefit from narrowing the tip. This is achieved by having some of the cartilage removed from the tip. The narrowing provides a softening of one’s appearance and gives your tip more definition. Also, by placing a cartilage graft in the columellar area, one’s nasal tip may be better supported and droop less. It’s important to be able to communicate clearly with your surgeon what your expectations are with having surgery. Discussing these issues with your surgeon prior to having your procedure is highly recommended.

Answer: Supratip break surgery This is some descriptive technique that I have never heard used before. A spuratip break is the defining point between the bridge. It is a desired feature. if natural looking. The chances of having a nose like the picture on the right, are next to nil. She has very thin, delicate skin, and I am afraid that your skin appears quite thick.
